| What is a Mother? |
Mothers were created to outlast time,
She doesn't have to waken with a bell or chime.
Seeking God before starting her day
She silently bows her head to pray.
Now her day has begun, her strength renewed
She hurries to the kitchen to feed her crew.
She never knows what the day might bring
But she's prepared to deal with most anything.
She'll start the wash, the sweep the floors
Singing hymns while doing her chores.
She wears many hats and puts them to use
Being a nurse, a teacher, to name just a few.
That little bird never told what you did or said
She saw with the eyes in the back of her head.
And when you were young and did not mind
She wasn't afraid to swat your behind.
WHAT IS A MOTHER?
Well, in just a few words,
And above all else, she put you first.
She bore you, loved you, and did her best
From the moment God put you to her breast.
Yes, she's made some mistakes along the way
But you told her "HEY MOM, IT'S OK ..."
God didn't use a mold when He made Mothers
Look at your own, then look at others.
From Adam's rib, a woman God made
But the heart he gave Mothers was His ... HAND MADE.
Blessed is the Mother who fears the Lord,
And teaches her children to know His word.
This was recently read by Kathy Hubish during worship in memory of her mother, Bobbie May.
