Upcoming Events

On Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Canfield United Methodist Church, there will be a Mahoning Valley District leadership training event for all church leaders. Workshops include Wesleyan spiritual practices, technology in worship, hope for the future, youth ministry, and Staff-Parish Relations. Please turn in a registration form to the church office by Monday, April 26, 2010. Join us for a High Seas Expedition: Exploring the Mighty Love of God at Vacation Bible School June 7-11, 2010 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Volunteer Crew Leaders are needed to help lead the children from one station to the next. Recurring Events

Sunday The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) meets three times per month on Sunday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All youth in grades 6 through 12 are invited (Membership at Howland United Methodist Church is not required). All youth who desire a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ are welcomed! Activities included each month are Bible Study, a mission or service project and a social time.

Tuesday Our Men's Tuesday Morning Bible Study and Breakfast meets at 6:00 a.m. at Raptis Restaurant to enjoy good food, and greater Bible study and fellowship. There is always an extra chair and they would love to have newcomers. They are currently reading the book Soul Matters.
 
  The Morning Glories Craft and Service Group meets on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Junior High Room. Women come together to make craft projects as gifts to the seriously ill, or to be sold at craft shows or silent auctions to raise funds for the church. We knit, crochet, make pillows, cards, afghans, etc., and are always open to new ideas! If you don't know how, come anyway; we will be glad to share our knowledge with you.
 
  The Women of Faith Bible Study meet every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at various homes and are always happy to see new women and older youth. In September they began a 13-week Beth Moore study called Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy.

Wednesday Our after-school FriendWeavers program is held Wednesdays from 4:30-6:15 p.m. Come be a part of this great ministry to our young people.
 
  Our Chancel Choir practices on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Contact Frank McCauley for information on joining the choir or participating in the music ministry of our church.

Thursday The Pastor's Bible Study meets on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Library. It is a great time to come and fellowship with other men and women and to get to know what the Bible has to say to you. New members are welcome at any time!
 
  F.R.O.G.S. (Fully Rely on God, Sisters) is a women's group that meets on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. at various homes. They welcome new members at any time! Please call the church office at 330-856-3463 for more information on this group.
