"Train a child in the way he should go, and
when he is old he will not turn from it." -- Proverbs 22:6 |
|
| Our Mission |
| We welcome all children to this safe and secure faith based preschool enrichment program. This ministry will strive to nurture the faith of children and will be committed to the highest standard of academic excellence. |
|
| Family Participation |
Children love to see their family in the classroom. We encourage you to visit often and to become involved in our activities. You will always be welcome in our church and classrooms. We encourage you to talk with your children about their school experiences and activities. |
| |
| Encouragement |
Your child will be encouraged with frequent positive reinforcement. We redirect inappropriate behavior to a positive activity. Children might sometimes sit in a quiet chair as they work to regain self-control. It is essential that you and the school work together for your child's success, and communicate both achievements and concerns. No child is ever left alone and isolated from the other children. |

| Tuition and Fees |
The tuition for the three-day a week program is $105.00 per month, due on the first school day of each month. Tuition for the four-day a week program is $125.00 per month, due on the first school day of each month. The annual non-refundable application fee is $30.00. Half-hour extended childcare is available before and after classes at a cost of $2.50 per session per child. |

| Policy |
Howland United Methodist Christian Preschool recruits and admits students of any race, color, or ethnic origin to all of its rights, privileges, programs, and activities. In addition, the Preschool will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational programs and activities. |
| |
| Purpose |
Children learn through play; therefore, play becomes their work. Howland United Methodist Christian Preschool is a stimulating and creative environment for children. We designed our curriculum and activities to teach important educational and motor skills intended to develop children socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. Our program strives to instill each child with a sound Christian moral compass, essential for a lifetime of decisions. |
| |
| Curriculum |
Our curriculum is Pinnacle, a faith-based program of the teachings of Jesus and a wide range of educational and enrichment activities. Children learn within a well-structured, well-planned environment. |
| |
| Daily Program |
Bible stories and songs, art activities and easel painting, activities developing fine and large motor skills, housekeeping role playing, books and puzzle centers, outdoor and indoor playrooms, language development, snacks, and clean up will all be part of your child's daily activities. |
| |
| Special Activities |
Harvest parties, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas party, Valentine party, P.J. parties, and Easter celebrations are some of our special activities. |
| |
